Now it's $179 with 5 movies.

So, uh, $20 off. Not really a powerplay or anything here, and I don't think this is really enough to give them an edge over Blu-Ray and not nearly as attractive as the Playstation's price drop. Microsoft, why didn't you show us an HD-DVD equipped SKU at E3?

Because then they would have had to jack up the price of that 360, and doing that would pretty much be suicide.

seems like a good deal to me...

of course, I look at it as...I get 5 free movies. That's an additional 100-125 dollars you're not spending...does the system still come with King Kong as well?
