| I enjoy it. Of course, I enjoy Halo multiplayer to begin with. Does the game play any different than previous Halo games? No, not really. Though it plays much better than Halo 2. No auto-aim (or if there is any, it's so small it's negligible), the weapons are much more balanced, and some of the new twists on old gametypes are a welcome change (especially on Assault where the defensive team can now disarm the bomb). Does the game look good? Yeah, I think so. It's not Gears of War, but it's still nice and clean. I enjoy the team skirmish modes more than team slayer games. Games with an objective (besides get as many kills as possible) always suit my tastes. What I don't like about the beta is the need to have to press the d-pad in order to talk to your teammates across the map. I never remember and I don't like taking my thought off of playing the game, it's not natural at all. I also don't like that if someone speaks in your general area, you only hear it through your TV speakers and not the headset. I sit 6-8 feet from my TV...I don't have it up that loud. I also think you move much to slow for someone whose supposed to be cybernetically enhanced...if each player could run 5-10% faster it'd be a lot more fun. More than likely I'll buy Halo 3, because I enjoy the Halo series and I like the story ( I still need to beat Halo 2 again to give me a refresher on the story). Gears of War and Halo are two vastly different game types. Halo is a straight balls to the wall arcade shooter, Gears of War takes a more defensive approach. Sure, they're both shooting games, but they are in totally seperate categories. If you only played one round, I suggest playing it some more Phlak (heck, it's free, why not huh?) and play some skirmish modes that have much more strategy in them. Defending areas, going after certain objects/players. It's a much more fun experience. | ||

| Banned | Halo has a story? Anyways. I played it at a freinds house. AFter I finished a game, I started playing lost planet. Game just doesn't do all that much new, which they don't need to. Just found it to be too bland, and more of the same. Not to mention the game looks very last gen. | |
