Yeah, i know its old, but i never got around to finishing it last year. Anyway, yesterday i did the last 2 missions, and ive got a game save right before i face jack of blades, because i was gonna do it twice to have a light and dark character... Anywho, first time, easy, took down jack, threw the sword of aeons into the vortex, sat through the credits (well, went to the bathroom, got a snack...), and then saved that in an open slot and went back to do it again. Same deal, beat Jack easily, but then i cant strike my sister?!? I figure its because my character is good, so i eat a crunchy chick and start shooting her with my crossbow. After grinding this for half an hour to get all the way evil, i saved and did it again. Still couldnt touch her with the sword. So searching around, i tried a duping trick, various other things, i just want a completed game with the sword. Anybody got any clues as to how i might kill her finally?

you might have hit the hero save vs world save bug. do you have a copy of the original fable or lost chapters? is this on the pc or xbox?

the hero save glitch is where in middle of a quest you can do a hero save to save all of your characteristics but be able to restart the quest. so basically what could've happened is that the game has recorded you as having already thrown the sword into the vortex but then didn't do a world save to save that quest as completed. whenever i had game changing options i always saved to different save files.

as far as i know, whether you are good or evil, the end game all depends on if you choose to keep the sword or throw it away. just to be sure, you are holding the button to be able to target in non combat right?. i also don't remember you having to kill your sister yourself. i just threw the sword in and it went to a cut scene where it showed my hero killing the sister.

btw, if you get lost chapters, there's a new ending where you can get an even stronger sword and there's a new final boss.

Xbox section, its not TLC. Target non combatant? Ill try that, i forgot about that, i hadnt played in so long it took me a while to remember all the controls.
