Well, my server's finally online, so i logged on and made it into the game....at which point my system crashed and i had to do a hard boot.
My first guess is that this is strictly addon related: from the appearence of the ingame screen, it looks like my user profile was not saved and loaded.
I'm going to give this another whirl and before i try to load a character into the game, i'm going to double check my addons and see if i can figure out what's up. I'll post info as i get it.
I currently use: Cosmos, Gatherer 2.2.2, and WoW Reader.

Ok, i hit the Cosmos forums, and it looks like it's Tacklebox and/or Social Mods that's causing the problem: thread.

I haven't been able to try this fix thanks to server side issues, but as soon as i can verify it, i'll post here.

To disable addons:
-Log on to the game
-From the character selection screen: click on the "Addons" button in the lower right side of the screen.
-Scroll down the list of addons and disable Tacklebox (or whatever).
-Click on "Okay" and game as usual (hopefully)

That was painful (not disabling stuff, the game crashes locking up my comp + the logon issues).

What i wound up disabling:
-Arcane Party Bars
-Party Quests
-Social Mods
-Tacklebox
-Libram

I also bumped my addon script memory to 128 (i probably don't need nearly that much, but what the heck)...I went a little overkill with disabling, but with the logon issues right now, i'm not about to attempt to turn stuff back on. Either way, i can logon and play without issues.
