Default Weird Weird Problems

Hello everyone, I have a ASUS Striker Extreme, A C2D E6600 OC with a FSB of 1200mhz @ 2.6ghzwith Corsair Dominator, Leadtek Px8800GTX, and a WD 250 SATA 2 HD.

For right now I'm using Windows Nemesis, My copy of vista is in the mail. I'm having weird problems, If I install VLC player and watch a AVI. or any kind of video, It freezes my computer, I tried a ton of different versions and tricks, nothing worked, And the same thing in Windows Media Player, Also firefox causes crashes, tried same thing with that, nothing works, the Audio is even crap when I listen to MP3's.

Do you think it's just the OS? I did a reinstall twice and it didn't change anything

Let me know ASAP if anyone knows anything

-thank you
Nicholas Ranella

Default Re: Weird Weird Problems

I would try setting everything to stock before OCing and see if its stable.

Run a good utility like memtest.
With the limited info I have, Id guess its in the memory settings or the power supply.

In peace, nothing so becomes a man as modesty and humility, but when the blast of war blows in our ears, then imitate the action of the tiger, summon up the blood, disguise fair nature with rage and lend the eye a terrible aspect.
