Could you please explain a little more on it "coming back"? Did the scans find anything? What exactly is the computer doing for you to suspect spyware/virus?

There is some realy bad spyware going around these days, it often hides realy deep and cannot be easily removed by common methods.

You can fight it for days with every program under the sun...u can try using system restore, or turn off system restore (Thats is one place they hide, thats why it keeps coming back, even if you thought they were removed)and going into safe mode and try cleaning again (Hit F-8 while booting)

Beyond that it may require a rebuild of the OS (Repair) or just format the hd and reinstall...this is often the fastest and safest way.

I believe some spyware/viruses actually consist of two files, so when you attempt to delete one, the supplementary virus/spyware file will duplicate the file you just deleted. When I had to deal with spyware and virus hell, I used multiple programs (Spysweeper, CrapCleaner, Adaware, Spybot, RegCleaner, Registry Mechanic, McAfee, AVG, the list goes on...) But just run virus scans, then adware/spyware programs, and then registry cleaning programs in regular windows, then boot to safe mode, and run all the programs again. Also, use Regcleaner to identify all your file extensions/running processes/startup processes, and use sysinfo.org and http://www.answersthatwork.com/Taskl...s/tasklist.htm to identify all the running processes. This should "usually" work, but as Necro said, it's often much easier to reformat, and the results are usually better as well.
