Or will this person be able to view all my old data still....I don't have a windows xp disc.

Hmm...that is a tough one. Now im no expert in the field, but my instincs tell me that you could get rid of most of it, but never really all of it without a reinstall. now, he probably wont be able to see anything without purposefully looking for it, and it wouldnt be anything really extensive. Yeah your plan should work, with the new account and what not. Just make sure you clear histories, caches and the like

| If you used the default administrator account, then you can't delete it per se, the OS won't let you...normally the accepted practice is to disable the account purely because they think hackers will have trouble figuiring out what the real administrator's real account is (90% of the time, they don't even need to) My thoughts are, if you really care, go into everything and delete all the cookies you can find, then disable the account by....actually...is this XP Home or XP Pro? The process is vastly different as Home has the no administration console (MMC) | ||

| Wonderful! (Not!) When it comes to user account management, XP Home pretty much had it's ball chopped off! I'm not quite sure if you even can "disable" accounts from the GUI without using the MMC... Alright! Looked in MS support, couldn't find anything, but I asked a friend more knowledgable then me and he knew what I didn't and told me this: Go to Run; type CMD, enter; type this exactly (no quotes) "net user administrator /active:no" if this works, after you log out/reboot, administrator will be locked out!! MAKE SURE THE OTHER USER YOU HAVE ALREADY MADE IS AN ADMINISTRATOR TYPE ACCOUNT!! | ||
