| Hi guys, I went to windows server 2003 because I figured my mouse troubles were because of windows XP, meh still haven't gotten that fixed perfectly. Anyways, since I got onto Windows Server 2003, I can't play any games that require OpenGL. I tried playing Half Life 1 and CS:S, but it only allows for software mode which is horrible. Any suggestions from you lot? Oh, I had the newest graphics card drivers for my Geforce FX 5200, but they didn't do what I needed so I tried the Omega Drivers and got the same result, so I downgraded the drivers hoping for it to work and it didn't. Any help is appreciated Thanks! | ||

| i am certain that server 2003 simply doesent allow direct3d accelleration, hell, if im not mistaken you have to manually enable directsound... if you havent downloaded and installed the OpenGL API, then you probably wont have it available as a viable API...this is just an educated guess, server 2003 was not built for anything remotely associated with gaming...so save yourself a ton of headaches and just go back to XP, or go to Linux where you will (seriously) have better game support than WAS2k3... | ||
