Default IE Screen Closes!

This only happens on one of my computers. Sometimes when I'm on the web and try to go to a new page and the page cannot be found, instead of saying "Page Not Found" the screen closes. It's annoying because if I'm already on one site, I'd just like to use the back button, but that option is gone and I have to open a new screen. Any ideas?

Can't say for sure as I have never experienced the problem, but it sounds like your IE settings are a bit out of whack on the particular computer. I would search through them first for anything that looks related.

Yeah dump Internet Exploder and grab yourself the latest version of the fiery fox, you'll never go back. I even use it for my windows updates now.

Google Search for windiz updates, there a site that will let you bypas the microsoft site.

theres a better chance than not that Firefox will NOT fix the problem...but its worth installing since it is just a better browser anyway...

problems with pages not showing up intermittently usually involves one of two things...

- your DNS settings, set them to manual and try using 4.2.2.1 as primary and 4.2.2.2 as secondary (most reliable i have found)...

- a corrupt layered service provider (LSP), download this program and see if it helps...

Set your browser settings to "default" and try again. That is, if it happens with the same page(s) every time.
