win2k for benching?

has anyone tried benching in sli with windows 2000?.
i have loaded win2k to try out but cant get sli running.have tried all sorts of drivers but no luck.is there a driver out there (modded) that will work on win2k?.
if i cant get sli to work then its basically pointless to try and bench on this os.
any ideas very welcome.

ps- the reason i am trying win2k is that i have heard that it a faster window than xp(less KAKA running in the background etc)

Did you give up on that Xtreme Systems "Benchmarking" OS?

I have heard its faster for 3D 01 than XP, but with the newer benchmarks, I don't think it makes as much difference when fully tweeked.

no i havent given up on the xs os - just waiting for the next beta to come out

i just thought i would give 2k a go.if it isnt faster than xp with the newer benchmarks then i will reload xp.

I don't know why SLI won't work, it should..unless you can't add .NET framework or something like that, and you need that with the newer drivers.

That thread has a few tips for removing crap from XP, one guy says it takes just 83MB of ram after Black Vipers tweeks.

i installed .NET framework fine but still no sli.
will see what server2003 does (if they can get raid support and sli support into the xs os)

ps-i installed .NET framework off the dfi m/b disc
