After hearing my drives making noises, and getting a bit ticked that everytime I game my computer decides to freeze, I reformated (It hasnt done it before). But now I get this message that I saw A long time ago. (link) The funny thing is, I havent done anything! Ive only surfed the net using explorer to get firefox. Right now Im scanning my computer for every known bad thing known to man, and by some miricle, Spybot managed to find Spyware on my computer even though I havent done anything!

I am also scanning the other computer to see if it has anything-Nothing so far only the usual tracking cookies.

I havent taken an exe files from the backups Ive made, only images, videos and my book marks I had backed up. Ive only downloaded drivers (using Firefox) Quicktime, winamp, anti spyware stuff, VNC, MBM5, LCd smartie, and thats it! I dont get it.

Unless...I used nLite to trim down windows, the only thing I could think of is A) They attached themselves to the ISO, or B) I got all of those from JUST surfing the web to download firefox. Or C) Firefox is no longer immune to Spyware. If B is true, thats really sad and pathetic, just by visiting firefox.com, I get spyware (couldnt remember the address)

So how could this have happened?

And oh, reformating in NOT an option.

Update, no virus's have been found.

Well, I was going to suggest KillDisk, but that is a more thurough form of reformatting. Looks like all you have left to do is treat the symptoms... run all the antivirus and antispyware software you have and hope for the best.

I've also seen that red script error thingy on my machine... but a run of Adaware SE Personal seems to have taken care of that.
