Default login issues

im running xp pro 64 bit edition and every time i log in it says i must activate windows, which i have already done it then says that windows has been activated then logs me out. how do i fix this?

I can't say for sure as I have never used x64 windows, but I would probably try a format / reinstall

i'm not sure either,have you tried going to Microsloths web site and scouring the X64 posts?
I had to do that to find a firewall /antivirus combo and to deal with some driver isues in X64,theres quite a bit of helpfull info from users there now.
(Shock= cant believe i'm recomending anything Microsloth)

i have been searching through the microsoft support knowledge base and came up empty. any other ideas?

ya i tried all it did was tell me that i had to boot normally to activate then restarted

Since you have a legal copy theres no harm in telling you that there are sites out there that have software and fixes that will stop it bugging you buy removing the activation protocol from windows.

*Strictly only for those who own windows and have genuine problems*
