| I picked up NT4 for an older dual Pentium 3 server I built, primarily for storage, and the OS is legit, so don't whine. In the process of updating it I realized I will need Service Pack 6, problem is I can't use the smaller Internet-downloadable SP that automatically updates, I need the SP6 Redistributable copy but cannot find it ANYWHERE on the Microsoft website. If anyone has a copy of the redist., should be about 30 - 60mb, I have a 14-point rep hit to the first person with the file. | ||

NT4 has fewer features than Windows 95 A had... I got frustrated as heck with it just trying to get around in a pre-Win98 GUI. Win2K is TONS better, and still runs on 64MB machines. I couldn't recommend it unless you're into pain and suffering... (Here's something just to irritate ya! LOL Just kidding, yes, they're real) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Bling has been added Thnak you all, SP6 is up and running.I chose NT4 over 98 because I like the 95 GUI for swapping files between drives so I don't have to have shortcut after shortcut of folders. It's primary purpose is a storage server for all of my photography and video editing, so I feel NT4 is best for the job. Especially considering this machine was built to use 98 / NT4, which means it will be fast as hell and I won't need any of that eye candy crap from XP which uses too much processing power. 2000 likes to hog up all your resources. NT is like a happy median between 98 and 2000. Best part of it all, FREEEEEEEEEEEEBBBIIIEEEEEEE | ||
