I am in no way an expert on this but...
Right click on the task bar and select properties, you should be able to change/modify it from there.

Nope. Just click and drag. Try to resize it. Its a bitch i know but you will fix it out of nowhere and have no clue how you did it.

You might have to unlock the taskbar as well, depending on what version of windows she's running. Like post_break said, it's all in properties if you right-click the taskbar.

If you're trying to change the size of the explorer/AIM/etc. icons, right click on that toolbar, go into properties, and start digging. I know it's in there, but it always takes me several minutes to find it.

As far as the location of each one, click and drag on the line at the biggining of the toolbar.
If you just want one to go away, right click somewhere on the taskbar, and go to (I think) toolbars, and uncheck it.

Cool

Mouse over the top edge till you get the resize arrow and drag down to size.
Then right click it and check lock taskbar so it wont happen again.
