| Apex Techie Wannabe | Anyone seen this before got a system where windows boots, but when you get in all the shortcuts are disassociated with their proper files. Yet when you go through my computer even trying to load the exec files fails. If you try to get into the control panel you get a message "cannot create a shortcut here would you like to create it on your desktop". If attempting to go start->run->cmd you get the message "windows cannot find this component". If My Computer is launched you get the flashlight looking for files but it never finds anything. Tried a chkdsk /r attempted reassociation via rewriting the shortcut paths but will not open the properties of any file. | |
