Default folder on desktop won't go away!!!

i'm running windows xp. it's a folder i put some songs in that i wanted to put on cd. it's empty now and i delte it but every time i switch users (like if my wife needs to use the computer) or reboot it comes back. i've tried renaming it, moving it then deleting it, added files then deleted, but it allways comes back and it's just starting to get annoying. any ideas how to get rid of this thing?

Sounds like it has a link to a program, probably the program you used to create the CD although i'm not sure why. If you don't manage to delete it then I sugggest markign it as hiddenm, as long as its empty it won't take up any room and I always find that If I can't see a problem then its not really there!

yup, i bet it's the playlist. i deleted it from the folder but i still have it in the player. i'll try deleting it from the player and if that doesn't work i'll make it hidden. thanks for the fast reply.

if that dosent work i would look into your \Document_and_settings\ folder for the \All_users\ folder and try and find the \Desktop\ folder see if it is there and delete it there and then restart!!
