Default Multiple user accounts, different settings?

I want to set up a separate account on my machine especially for gaming. I have so many processes running at the moment, for various things... I mean it goes on forever, theres anti virus, anti spyware, mp3 player software, cell software, steam, ultramon, fraps, mouse software etc etc...

All in all theres about 50 processes using a lot of PF memory and a sizable chunk of my RAM.

I want a gaming account with as few processes as possible running, no antivirus, anti spyware, no 3rd party software etc...

Is it possible to do this on XP with affecting global startup rules? Or can I just customize the crap out this new gaming account, knowing that it won't affect my other general purpose account?

Basically, what local behaviour can I change to get this gaming account running as smooth and as fast as possible?

TIA, Dex

I don't see why you couldn't do what you are asking, what's stopping you from trying?

Ive done the best I can, I just wanted ideas and tips from other members who may have done the same.

Obviously no one has, or cares.

I care, but have not ever tried it. Kinda interested in the results myself.

Also interested in any results you get.

My only recommendation would be to keep a firewall on the gaming account even if you don't have AV.

I've done this and have several accounts setup for different focuses (gaming, file sharing, work, etc...) As long as the registry edits are made under the user hive vs. the all user hive they will remain separate.
