Networking issues

i have a network of 4 pcs connected to a netgear wgr614 router and they all have file sharing enabled i bought a new laptop and added it to the network but now none of my pcs can access the files on the server. all machines are running xp pro except the new laptop which uses xp home. i can ping the server and use remote desktop but they wont connect to any network drives.

I would hard reset the router and start from scratch, use same SSID and key if you encrypeted it.

i have just tried that and it didnt work, any other suggestions?

what kind of firewall are you using on the laptop?
I've had networking issues where norton will mess up the whole network.
