Unhappy HELP me please.

Hi everyone. I have been off for a while because I have been working on my new rig, and had to dismantle my old rig. OK I wanted to keep my old hard drive, and files so I tried the registry thing that I saw on here, and moved the hard drive. So after I was done building I turned on my rig, adjusted some BIOS settings, and tried to boot to windows. BSOD, and restarted it's self very fast. So I thought OK no big deal I will just so a repair install, and everything will be OK. So I go through the first step where it puts the files on your hard drive, and restarted to continue the repair installation in the GUI. So it looks like it's starting into the GUI to continue the installation, but BSOD, and fast restart. My computer specs are AMD 64 3200+, 2 gigs performance OCZ ram( 1 gig sticks), a EVGA 7800GTX,and a DFI LANPARTY SIL-DR mobo. Right now I am installing Windows xp-64 on the other hard drive in the computer, and I hope it doesn't do a BSOD. SO please does anyone know how I can do a repair install on my rig without it doing a BSOD? I will try to catch the error code it pops up for a split second before restarting. Also it's not a heat issue. Also I have tried to update the BIOS using the Diamond-Flash Image thing, and the mobo says I/O error non system disk error........... Which means it doesn't do crap to update the BIOS.

AHHHHHHH *&^%$##. Ok I installed windows xp-64 on the other hard drive, and now I am having stability problems. Now Windows XP-64 likes to crash 3-4 times before starting. Windows then says it was caused by a driver, and can't help me. ALSO UPDATE- I have decided to screw Windows XP-32, and just run the 64-bit version only, but I still need help with the windows xp-64 problem. What is causeing Windows to crash 3-4 times before starting? I did install the Nvidia nforce4 drivers, and ntune. I also acidently installed their firewall, and Windows xp-didn't like that. Also when it does this crash thing it won't boot into safe mode, and usually won't show a BSOD it will only restart, and when it finally boot's it says windows recovered from an error.......... then I send the report, and it says it was caused by a driver. Please help me.

Ok I decided to reinstall Windows xp-64, and hoped that would fix my problem. Yet now after the first restart of the installation it BSOD when booting to complete the installation. The stop code is 0X0000007E ( 0xFFFFFFFFC0000005, 0xFFFFF8000142600F, 0xFFFFFADFC8C0F6A0, 0xFFFFFADFC8C0F0b0 ). Does anyone know what might be causing this to happen? Does anyone know what that stop code might mean? I am guessing it's a hardware problem. Please any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ok everyone I have found something that is odd. I have found that if I clear the CMOS or re-flash the BIOS then the computer will start fine, but only for one boot.Which means after I turn the computer off it won't boot when I turn it back on untill I clear the CMOS or re-flash the BIOS again.I know it's not a battery problem (mobo monitors voltage) The weird thing is it runs fine when I clear it.( over 21K in 3D Mark 2001SE) The mobo is a DFI Lanparty SLI-DR, 7800gtx, 2gig OCZ proformance RAM, Creative labs sound Audgy 2 zs gamer edition, 1 sony DVD burnner, and 2 hard drives.(250gig, and 320gig).

OK.. I know I'm probably in way over my head here.. but I had a similar problem not long ago... and honestly it was the battery.. I know it dosnt make a lotta sense, but it was. I don't know if a battery of this type can dead short (like a car batt can) but it was all good until I tried a restart... and nada. New battery and all was good. Hope I'm not being stupid here, just hoping I can help.

Well I have installed all the 64-bit drivers for it(sound card,chipset,g-card,etc) I might change the battery maybe it was messed up from the factory.(new rig) Can a CMOS chip be messed up? Does anyone else here on PR run XP-64 on a DFI mobo? Also does anyone know if the new DFI Bios support XP-64?

YEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

UPDATE. Finally after finding a hidden tech support number for DFI the tech told me to up my ram voltage. The reason being the BIOS sets it to 2.6V, and I needed around 2.8 to get her running. So if anyone has this same problem UP THE D-RAM VOLTAGE!!!!!

Check newegg.com or mwave.com to see if something is commercially available.

If you want a straight answer then yes, Windows XP Pro 64-bit is available at newegg.
