Default HELP!!! Blue Screen of Death!!!

OK, I am having trouble with my new computer. I am getting the nasty blue screen of death. It started today after we got internet in my apartment.

Here is what the screen is telling me.

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x100000EC, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0xA27A3A50)

HTTP.sys - Address A27A3A50 base at A2792000, DateStamp 41107b69

How can I fix this? Can I just do an XP Repair and if so, how do I do that because I dont know any of the commands to do so?

Thanks for any help.

I am just going to take a stab at this but I think your internet adapter (nic card, modem) is the problem. Try updateing the drivers for it.

Would NIC driver really thrown it into a blue screen? I am searching for drivers and hopefully I will have enough time to install them before it goes back into blue screen.

EDIT: Are these the drivers I need? http://www.abit-usa.com/downloads/dr...es=1&model=259 I have an Abit AN8 Fatal1ty mother board with on board NIC?

Do you have any pci cards installed or anything like that? If so move them around a bit to different slots. If that doesnt do you any good than go to Device Manager and go to View and choose Resourses by type. Open up the Interrupt Request (IRQ) and see if anything like your NIC card is sharing an IRQ number with anything else. Hope this helps.

I have no pci cards installed. I am running the Abit Fatal1ty motherboard with the audiocard that uses a 1x pci express slot and then my 16x pci express videocard. The board has built in eithernet.

According to Microsoft's websites:

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=317326

However, I have the same mobo and I had MAJOR issues with it when I first put the system together. I was able to resolve the blue screens of death that I was initially getting by uninstalling the Nvidia Forceware Networking Manager that are installed along with the mobo drivers. According to the different blue screens of death that I was getting and microsofts website, there was a conflict between the NVidia networking applications and the built-in security that comes with SP2.

I updated my nForce drivers with the 6.66 ones from Nvidia web site and that stopped the BSOD I was getting but I am now getting another one.

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

Should I just uninstall the Nvidia Forceware Networking Manager?

I'd give it a try. You don't particularly NEED the Forceware Manager, as Windows has a built in Firewall and such...

For me, the program was just conflicting in such a way that it force BSOD ALL THE TIME! Reading Mirosofts website, they said that the system goes to BSOD because a program (NVidia Forceware) is trying to do something XP S2 won't let it...
