Question XP wont come out of screen saver mode?

After a fresh rebuild of XPpro sp2, i have set my video card and XP not to activate the screensaver, however after leaving the PC on for a while, the monitor is turned off (even though its not set like that) and wont come out of it.

So basically i end up having to soft reset the PC.

What should i do to fix this!

Thanks

What do you have your Power Settings on in the Display Properties?

yeah, its under "power options" under the control panel. I dont like to turn off hard disks or go into stadby mode. I like to have the monitor turn off after 20 mins. Just wiggle the mouse or hit a button on the keyboard and it should come right out of it. If your a person that likes to use screen savers then just set it to never turn the monitor off.

On this PC, i use it as a HTPC and disable the screensaver mode.
