Default System restarting??? wtf

Im trying to get this new computer im building up and running. Everything was all good. Had xp installed, was installing drivers, rebooting it a couple of times. I restarted it after I get my virsus protectiong up(EZ Armor) Xp starts back up again..... then bam....restarts. Thats all it does now for some reason. It only restarts when windows is fully loaded. I have no clue why. So i figure if i reformate the hard drive it may fix it...I go to reformate, it asks me for my admin password which didn't even set in the bios. I hit enter to pass it...my computer then has the nerve to tell me that my password is wrong when I didn't even set a password. Help me please before i through the POS out the window.

Im running a

AMD 64 3800
A8N- SLI Deluxe mobo
2x 6800 Gt's
2gig kingston ram
Antec True Power 2 Model TP2-550 power supply

All my **** is compliant with nvidia's SLI requirements.

Bios password or Windows? If it's the BIOS password... just swap the jumper to clear the CMOS. But it sounds like your A/V blew your Windows up.

The other thing I'd look at is trying out a different Power supply, too. I recent had a run in with the random reboots that I thought was software related . . . . also made me think that my vid card had died . . . finally swapped out the PSU, and that's all it was.

This might help you...........

Go to "My Computer"
Right-click and go to "Properties"
Go to the "Advance" tab
Click on "Startup & Recovery"
Under the "System Failure" area, uncheck the box next to "Automatically Restart"

I narrowed down the problem more after reformating and reinstalling my OS a couple times. WHen ever I install any software onto the PC it does the little restarting thing. I called microsoft and they told me they will call me back in 24 hours...... wtf
