Default Windows media player.

I had to install windows media 9 in order to use some program for my mp3 player. So I uninstalled the media 10 update and rolled it back to 9. I had it working then my mp3 player screwed up so I tried to put 10 back on without much luck. So I tried to uninstall the whole of media players from "add/remove windows components" and now it doesn't work at all and I can't seem to reinstall it.

Anyone got any advice on reinstalling media 9. BTW, the media 10 update shows in the add/remove programs list.

not all mp3 players are recognized as a removable drive... mine wasnt for the longest time, till they finally came out with a firmware update for it. in any case, they dont all work that well. they should tho its a lot easier

nope. Still no luck, I drag them into a hidden folder which contains all of the other music but they don't seem to work!

It isn't that I want to transfer using MP9 it's just the transfer program needs MP9 to work for some reason :S

I have a feeling that if I just remove the MP10 update i'll be able to do it. Because whenever I try to remove it it sais it will roll back to the previous version. But since I removed it there is no version for it to rollback to. And it wont let me install 9 because it sais that there is a newer version allready installed. ARGHHH!!!

no luck with that. I've managed to get MP10 installed back on but not having any luck rolling back to MP9, it rolls back all the way to version 6.something.
