Should Have Paid Atention

Before I reformated my pc yesterday I had my 200 gig hard drive partioned into a 130 and 70 gig
partions. Some guy at frys when I was learning to build PC's showed me how to partion my hard
drive in windows xp but I cant remember how he did it and I wasnt realy paying any atention to him.
so dose any1 here know how to partion hard drives in windows??

Once Windows is instaled, you have to use an app such as PartitionMagic

like anchi said, you won't be able to partition the drive windows is installed on, however, you WILL be able to work with any other patitions or unused space that are available..you can do this by right-clicking on "My Computer" and then clicking on manage..under storage, click on disk management..

How do I make the extra 70 gigs a partion in disk mangement I have a 200 gig hd
but windows only recanizes 130 gigs so I need to partion the rest of the storage

You will need to install service pack 1 and windows will see it all.

Is the partition formated? If you go to control panel - admin tools - computer management - disk management you can format or create a logical drive.

I fixed It I forgot that sp1 got deleted In the when I reformated my harddrive
I just reistaled it and I was able to partion the extra 60 gigs thanks
