UT problem

So I have had ut2k4 for a long time and I have 0 mods installed on it. Well today I went to load it and I got this nasty message. Any idea on what it is? Ive reinstalled many a time and it keeps coming back.

ut is one of the buggyest games.... but i loves it

My mother's boss's son came over and played UT2004 so I had to turn off the "HOLY SH*T!!" when you pwn too much so it just repeats "LUDICROUS KILL!!" over and over again everytime I get to camping in Face3 and Moondragon and Grassyknoll and start pwnz0ring t3h n00bl4rz. I can't remember how to set it back to "normal" settings. Anyone remember how?

Well I dont know the answer to your question and no I didnt reinstall the video drivers. I dont really think that would do it though. Although, I did just get a new flat panel monitor, not sure if that would even do anything but maybe. Its making me mad though, I want to play ut....

About the best and only 100% method I can suggest is back up your save game files and your profile (I dunno how, but I'm sure if you google 'back up UT 2004 profile', you'll get it) and uninstall and reinstall.

However, if you manage to find a suggestion that works other than that, just for my curiosity, please share!

Vid drivers, and re-install the game Then Check for Patchs and Os updates. Make sure as stated above to backup the files you want to keep if your going to reinstall.

Ok, Ill try all of the above. If I open ut from the folder and not the shortcut it will start up, then give that messege.
So I got pissed and kept clicking on the exe and it opened. I dont know why but I can sometimes force it to open.

i would assume this, also chek if gore is on full

Welll I found something. If I open unreal edit and then close that, then open the game it works. Very odd and annoying but I guess it works.
