Default IE Problems

Lately.. as in, perhaps the last couple weeks or so.. IE has been forgetting that I'm logged into some places... or like yahoo, where it forgets my name... to me, sounds like my cookies are all corrupted and such..

And now today, as I was grabbing the new sets off DJ2K, it just randomly goes "SORRY THIS PROGRAM WILL DIE NOW" and crashes..

I've run my spyware and virus scanners, and they turn up nothing... so.. I don't know?

Only thing that's coming to mind is my 2 sticks of RAM: I didn't buy a dual pack, but I've got 2x 256mb PC3200 mushkin blue line stuff.. I'm thinking they're conflicting and corrupting things, perhaps?

Any help is appreciated.

I'm not OC'd, and I probably need to reformat is why... pushing oh.. 1 year 5 months and 2-3 weeks since installing ..

I should say though, I do run registry cleaners, and keep my HD somwhere between half and 3/4ths full all the time (80gb drive)... 512 of ram, 1500ish of pagefile.. frag, virus, spyware scan nightly..

Try deleting all of your temporary cache folders under your profile. Don't just delete the contents, delete the entire folder. IE will rebuild it.

You might want to download windowswasher trial version and run it so it can get rid of all your temporary junk. To me it sounds like a bad cache file.

Sounds to me like you need another browser. I would suggest Mozilla, or AvantBrowser, or Opera. If you want the closest to IE go with AvantBrowser as it is built of the IE platform, but has a couple extra features like pop up blocker already installed.
