RUNDLL bridge.dll error?

Everytime I start up my system I get this error.What's it all about? I have run Ad-aware and Spybot but it did not take care of the problem. I am running XP Home.

100 percent of computer problems with windows have already been experieced by other people and id say about 40 percent of these seek help on the internet in forums like this. What does this mean to you? Google my boy, Google! All i did was copy and paste your error message into google and wham i got the answer right off the bat. You can find the answer in another forum here. Read through it carefully and if it still doesnt make any since then try the search yourself and see if you can find a more useful one. Im not about to copy and paste all the useful info from another user and claim it as my own, sorry bro.

im curious as to why ad-aware and spybot dont detect this - may be because its spamware not spyware.

As you avent described further im guessong the PC loads fine there after and no further problems occur. The only other "bridge" as such i can think off is the network bridging function (links 2 network connections so you can use either 1 for the same job), so other errors may be your network being faulty.

Upon searching google, your not the only one with this little error. It has something to do with an exe called A.EXE. HIJACKTHIS is the spyware you need to remove it, and the item required for deleting is this:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {9C691A33-7DDA-4C2F-BE4C-C176083F35CF} - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\BRIDGE.DLL

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RunDLL] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\BRIDGE.DLL",Load

this should take care of the problem.

There's a easy way to fix that

Click on START then RUN & type REGEDIT then EDIT\FIND... & type in BRIDGE.DLL then click FIND NEXT.

Once it finish looking for the files & found it then RIGHT\CLICK on it & delete it then doo another search (FIND) to see if there is not another one out there , once all thoses files are out you just have to restart & you wont see this Bridge.dll files ever again...

Thread is a bit old, but to clarify, this is caused by the Briss Trojan. With XP, this will usually put a couple of files onto your computer.
a.exe is put into your c:\Windows\System32\ directory (can't remember where bridge.dll is put, or modified)
Also, another workaround is to go to Start/Run and type msconfig. Go to the Startup tab and uncheck the one that reads bridge.dll at the end.

so do i.ive spent all week trying to get rid of it but me puter crashes continuosly. ran everything imaginable. download free bugdoctor and get keygen from emule.
