Dragging in AIM

Don't know if this is a problem or not, because it doesn't appear to be affecting my system, just a little annoying thats all.

Ever since i got this new motherboard (Abit NF7-S) when I drag my AIM IM windows across the desktop they lag and jump a lot. It ONLY happens with AIM IM windows, the buddy list window is smooth as silk, as is everything else. My computer runs fine, and is fluctuates between 36C-38C. So, i believe heating is not the culprit. I'm thinking maybe the Nforce 3.13 drivers and the Nvidia 56.72 display drivers have somethign to do with it. Thanks guys.

Again, its not a serious problem, just an annoyance.

yeh sounds to me like your on the right track - the drivers could have a glitch somehwhere - isuggest latest drivers, or simply re-installing AIM or mouse drivers - whichever's easier - btw am i right in thinking AIM is AOL instant messenger?

nev_payne - I would say that you would be right assuming AIM as AOHell Instant Messanger.
NCXCStud - As nev said try reinstalling aim and see if that helps if it doesn't then I also need to ask what OS and how much memory to you have (512 I assume?)

Windows XP and 512MB DDR RAM

Try going HERE and obtaining the Omega drivers for that FX 5200. Made a world of difference for mine...... plus better benchmarks.

Get rid of your other nvidia drivers and install these. If it keeps doing it uninstall and reinstall aim. That should work.

AIM = AOL's Instant Mistake

Get trillian. One could "attain" the latest build of Trillian Pro if they were to type Trillian International Community in google.

Trillian wont allow you to conenct to other people on aim or anything thats why I have stuck with aim. Plus aim works fine for me...I dont see why everyone has a problem with it.
