Default ME connection help

okay okay, yah I know, ME sucks, blah blah blah, I would NEVER put it on anything like a case mod or whatever, this is a Folding rig I built, it's a Dell Optiplex GX200 Pentium 3 1 GHz with integrated 10/100 LAN, and a small harddrive, ME only takes 600MB at most so anyway.........

I am having trouble connecting to the Internet, I changed my network setup to the old one, one main Router that folds, its a 500MHz K6-2 with 6 LAN cards and all the PC's in my network connect to it through crossover cable, one LAN card for each computer. I have tried just about everything so far, like running the setup wizard and yes, the cables are plugged in.

Is there anything I might have missed?

Can the ME machine see all the other nodes on the network?

I hate to ask this, but my training always taught me to start at layer one of the OSI model.

Have you tested the crossover cable to make sure it's functional?

Do you have Client for MS networks installed?

Do you have TCP/IP installed?

Are you using a static or DHCP?
If you are using DHCP, what is your current IP address on the ME box?

Functional

Yes

Yes

DHCP

If you are using DHCP, what is your current IP address on the ME box?

192.168.0.147

The rest of the network is 192.168.0.blah instead of 10.10.10.blah

Also, it wont see any other PC's on the network however the router sees it in workgroup TUCKER, the workgroup is it designated for. I checked the ME box, it says TUCKER

Is it static or DHCP? What network protocols are you using on the ME box?
Also, do a ipconfig /all in the command prompt and send me a copy of the info. This will help me a lot to troubleshoot the problem.

Ok well first off with my experince on Internet connection sharing you have to have a static IP address, it cant change. That is the first thing you need to do.
