Default formating from bios

i have an sfc.dll bad image error on xp, and can't get in to xp to do anything in windows so basicly all i have is bios and cmos i have to format my hard drive i just can't figure out how

yeah but my verson of XP is ____ and wont let me boot from cd for some reason

well if ya go on over to madboot.com and download the madboot disk you can boot off of that and select windows xp install, that should help ya out bro

edit2: undid edit one lol my bad

who said it was illigal. we made a back up copy of pro just in case we lost the original and guess what happened

do i just burn it on cd and then boot from cd on my broken system

i'm not bro

I would immediately refrain from mentioning illegal copies of software, backups or no. That's the kind of stuff that gets forums shut down toot sweet.

I think you download it and it's a floppy image, you boot from floppy, then that will let you do the repair install.

But you could also just boot from floppy on a DOS floppy, and perhaps you could replace the .dll if you had a good copy of the file.

You tried the F8 key while booting right ?

well i dont know wacha goin 2 do with out a floppy drv i dont have one installed but i alwase keep one around 4 times like this. are u sure u dont got an old computer laying aroud they usualy got one

i have an xp home from my dads compaq that i use to put on the i upgraded to the pro to keep it legal
