Default BSOD when installing Windows XP

So I bought all the parts needed to build a new computer. I'm installing a legit copy of Windows XP SP2. I pop the cd in, run the disk, format the drive, it copies necessary files to install XP, and restarts itself. Then I get to the Windows logo, and I can see it installing (that blue screen showing what step it's at, with the fun facts about XP, yatta yatta) and the BAM - I get a BSOD.

I'm out of ideas. What should I do?

Is your memory running at the correct voltage?

Id do a 3 pass on memtest, and also run diags on your hard drive.

Something seems flaky.....

Everything is running default settings. How do you do a 3-pass on memtest, or run diagnostics on the hard drive?

When ever I get a BSOD I google the code it gives you. It doesn't always give you the solution but it usually puts you on the right track.

I have 2 X 2GB Corsair DDR3. Windows XP should handle DDR3 type ram fine, correct?

It will handle it fine, but you must make sure with a new build that everything is running at the correct voltages. Most enthusiast RAM needs more voltage than the JEDEC spec, but the motherboard often doesn't know that, which causes much grinding of teeth.
