Sleep problem

Whenever I put Vista in sleep mode when I turn the pc back on my keyboard and mouse don't light up and do not work. A fresh restart fixes the problem, anything I can do to fix the sleep function?

I have vista 64 and I generally just have to restart or disable sleep mode completely. Sometimes I have the same problem and the keyboard and mouse stop working, other times the damn thing just wont wake up. Fairly common problem, but changing a few key settings has helped out alot.

I assume you know but you can change the settings through "Power Options" in the control panel.

select your power plan and go to "change advance power settings". Specifically check the "USB settings" and switch them to Disabled. That may keep your mouse and keyboard on when the rest of the system sleeps.
