Default Virus remnants at work... can anyone help?

Ok, here is the situation. A few weeks ago the PC at work got a virus (something related to myjvd.exe) and it was a beeyotch to remove the actual virus itself. Or at least it doesn't cause as much problem now. My problem is that the registry (Win 98) is still referencing it and the PC gets a pop-up message every time windows starts up saying that such and such file is missing, blah, blah, blah.
My question is this:
Since it has attached itself to RunDLL32, how do I safely remove it without reinstalling windows? The reg key it resides in is as follows:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Software
Microsoft
Windows
CurrentVersion
Run

The key value for RunDLL32 here is "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\myjvd.exe"

I have searched and searched for an answer with no luck over the last few weeks and though maybe someone else had encountered this problem and had beter luck fixing it than I have. Any suggestions?

EDIT: BTW, it took going into DOS to get rid of myjvd.exe, just so you know.
