ok guys i think my computer is f ucked and i dont want to reformat or any sh1T like that i recenlty installed weatherbug thinking it would be a neat feature to see the weather, BUT NO according to my dad its spyware and such, so i delete it plus i find viewpoint player and incredifind on there that has been re routing my "cannot find" page to incredifinds. this is a problem PLUSS i have noticed other problems, i cant dl files now....for some reason whenever the dialogue box comes up that asks if i want to "open" "save" cancel etc and i click save it gives me this error message Sh1T!!!! ive attached a picture of it, and i cannot update at the windows site anymore, when i click search for updates, it says that there is an error and i cant dl anything.....wtf is all this stuff about ANYONE KNOW HOW TO FIX???

You got adware and spyware. Use both Spybot Search and Destroy and AdAware on it.

Then go get JV16Power Tools and do a check of software installed in the registry and get rid of the bad stuff.

Also check your internet security settings - Control Panel --> Internet Options --> Security Tab --> then...
A. Lower your security settings.
B. Choose custom level and under the downloads section turn allow downloads to enabled.

If you using Win2000 or XP... do you have Admin priviledges?

I get that same message at work. It's an admin thing. My guess is your dad set it up so you can't install stuff. We're assholes like that.

sorry guys ive been at work, im runnin win2k, ive got spybot, i uninstalled all that sh1T, ill try that other program yall recomended, no my dad didnt change anything, becuase hes the one b1tch'n at me that my system is corrupt, he didnt change anything, so ill check sommore stuff and get back to yall, i think ima have to reformat

Yeah, I was gonna suggest that somehow you've gotten locked out of admin priveledges. Not on purpose but thru alteration of a file or something.

Browser is IE6? Maybe a repair of the OS or browser is in order. NOT A REFORMAT OR REINSTALL. Under Add/Change Programs sometimes you get a repair option.

Use Opera. IE is t3h sux.

I'm not casting aspargus here, but the only time I've seen phenomenon of that type is as a result of malicious java scripts on pr0n sites...

I'd have a nose around the registry & see if there are any dodgy looking IE keys

IE version six allows you to do a repair.

haha yeah that one in the picture is not at a porn site, fyi, so ima just reformat and such, i went into gpedit.msc and didnt find anything, looked in the registry didnt find anything.....so i donno i guess its reformat time....arg
