damn virus..

i suspect that i have a virus on my computer since i cannot seem to end my processes, basicaly when i cntrl - alt - dlt all i get is cpu usage and cpu history, so if you know what i should do then please tell me because i have tried nearly every decent software out there to tackle this bastard and still no luck.

Get the following: Free AVG, Spybot Search and Destroy, Adaware SE and any other software you think will work. Update all 3. When All 3 are updated Physically Unplug your computer from the net, this seems to help in worse case scenarios. Run As the Admin first, Then Restart in Safemode. Run All 3 Again. Restart (once again) back to admin And run all 3 again. Everything should be gone.

If nothing will work, Back up all clean files you have (Virus's seem to infect rar and zip files, Jpegs, mp3's and mpegs are fine.) Back up any save games if necessary and reformat. Whole process can take up to a day or more.

Have you tried going into the view menu in the task manager and selecting the "Select Columns" entry? From that you can set what columns are viewable in the windows task manager.

Download a program called hitman pro. i have used it several times, it will find almost everything. and the things that it doesn't find, well... i dont know. But it is good.... Google it.
