  |  no thumbnail images (FIXED!!!) in explorer folders under "thumbnail" view. it happened a bit ago and i never looked into it. all it shows is the same icon you would see under "icon" view. running xp pro with all updates, hitman runs clean as does virus scan. anybody have any ideas on how to fix this? i'm trying to go through all my media files to thin the herd and it's a major PITA to have to click every file just to see what it is. edit: it seems to only be the video files, thumbs for images show fine but none for videos.

   | Re: no thumbnail images I could be off here, but I think a download/install of WMP11 would do the trick as far as "bringing back" your preview thumbnails... If you're already using WMP11, I would try looking for the association for the video files, and uninstall/reinstall as needed. That's just off the top of my head...

| Re: no thumbnail images Here's a page with some reg. edit files and if you do a word search crtl+f - type in "Thumb" it will bring you to the reg edit for "restore thumbnail view in XP" dont know if it'll work so be sure and back-up/make a restore point before trying Troubleshooting Windows XP, Tweaks and Fixes for Windows XP

already have WMP11, tried resetting the file associations in WMP11 as you suggested with no luck. thanks for the idea though  .
