Default MS Word 2003 question

I have a question about Word 2003 that I'm hoping someone here can help with.

I've got a document template that I've created with free form and drop down fields for some of the 'canned responses' that we use everyday. I want my coworkers to be able to go into the document template, fill out the form fields, and then save the document as a .txt file without saving their information to the original document template.

I've got the document protected in Word to prevent the changing the general text, but I don't see how to stop them from saving the document template with the information that they fill in.

Any ideas? Thanks.
