Default I need two separate Firefox installations

I don't know if Mozilla envisioned this need or not, but I need two separate Firefox installs: one for work and one for personal use. I need this so I can have a separate set of live bookmarks for getting the latest tech news to blog about (work) and another for personal use.

I tried downloading Firefox and putting the work install in a separate folder, but it just loaded Firefox with my live bookmarks from the other install. I thought Firefox had a profiles feature, but they must have gotten rid of it. I'm in limbo right about what do to. Does anyone know of a way to have two separate Firefox installs on the same computer? I can't be the first person to have this problem.

You could have one regular install for work, and then use Portable Firefox for personal use to keep them separate.

That should work

That's a really good idea Dex. I was about ready to try it when I found this:
Firefox Help: How To Manage Profiles

It looks like Firefox does have a profiles feature, but it's hidden away. I now have one Firefox install with two profiles.
