| I had a week old install of xp x64 and noticed that when i restarted or shut down, windows would go through its normal shut down, and then the monitor would loose signal, but the comp would still be running. it would never finish a restart or anything. I thought it was a problem with the x64 so i reinstalled my regular XP and it dose the same thing. its almost like something isn't sending the signal to the PSU. I have tried swapping PSUs but that didn't change anything, I have also tried resetting my BIOS to factory settings and that didnt have any effect either. any ideas? | ||

Sounds like XP: install OS, install device, no worky. Format, reinstall and guess what, it now works... Not dogging on XP much though, works great for me overall. XP, 'It just works' when it wants to. E | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Each time I reinstall windows i delete the partition and do a full re-format. I have looked through the BIOS for a setting for shutdown and can't seem to find one. When I get home from work I will go through the Motherboard manual to see what I can find in there. | ||
