Default Weird problems after repair install of Windows

Over the weekend I had to run a repair install of Windows, since some stuff got messed up.
Well, after I did that, I had some weird problems here and there. I was able to fix most of them, but here's a weird one that's REALLY annoying.

After running a repair install of Windows, anytime I move a file, shortcut, or anything else to another folder, I can't use that file. It becomes write protected. If it's a shortcut, it doesn't lead anywhere. If it's a file, it doesn't open when you click it.

thats a very intresting issue...

3 things that stick out in my head... but before that... what stuff had orignaly gotten messed up? and since the repair have you run anti-virus AND anti spyware utilites?

if not do that 1st...

next does your system have a raid array in it?

Have you checked your memory with mem test?

Have you kicked the side of the computer? j/k

I haven't run a Spyware and Anti-virus scan.
I'm not using a RAID Array.
I haven't checked my memory, though I'm doing that right now.

The other problems I had were:
1) I have dual monitors and the taskbar showed up on the wrong screen (this wasn't because of how I plugged them in, it was a software error).
2) Problems with the Windows Installer.
