Default Stupid Windows Problem!!!

Okay, so tonight, I moved my computer around in my room. It was sitting up on my dresser, but decidied to move it to the ground. So after rebooting, Windows tells me there's been a significant hardware change and that I need to reactivate Windows. So I go to reactivate it and it wants a new product key! I just got XP Pro from MSDN through my school like 2 months ago, and it says the maximum number of times I can activate this product has been exceeded... after only one install!!!! Luckily, I had a backup key that I haven't been using.

So my question is this: Should I take my beef up with Microcrap and bitch at them... or should I just bend over and take it? Is it even worth fighting M$?

Note- the only hardware changes I've made recently was an additional Gig of RAM, totaling 2Gb... but that was over 2 weeks ago.

MSDN Win Xp keys are single use only. All you have to do is to go to the MSDN website and click to request a new product key and tell them why, they will then send you a new key. I had to do this when I had to reinstall and it was really easy, though I know it is kind of a pain.

All very good points gentlemen. I'll shut my rig down and make sure everything's nice and snugg... course now it's a little late to go back... couldn't hurt tho. Yeah, and luckily MSDN is free, so not like I lost 100 bucks in this fiasco. And funny you should mention that s1ugh34d, I've been tempted to put linux on my laptop to try it out... maybe make it a wireless "analyzer" computer
