Default video card problems

aight guys i got some troubles while playing games the game would freeze and then minimise and i'd get n error message from ati telling me that the graphics card stop responding to the drivers. i'd close the message and go back to playing n it would work. but now the entire system freezes and i have to restart. any suggestions. i have already updated the video card drivers but that isn't helping at all. any suggestions??? thanks in advance.

If you have access to a multimeter, check your PSU. Is the system oc? Does it crash only during the game or in Windows? Do a virus and spyware scan just to eliminate that.

Post some specs of what is under the hood...

I had that same thing happen on my old 9500 PRO, it was a heat issue... the fan on it had died... not to say yours is dead, but it might very well be overheating.

Try pulling off the side panel, mayhaps?

What are the temps of your CPU and Video card GPU? Are you at stock speeds or OC? Like TheOutcast said, could be a heat issue with the video card, take the side panel off and put a fan blowing into the computer case and see if you get the same problem.

Ahh, any dust bunnies in that case?
