Default lil trouble

aight my com stats are in my sig. thing is when i play F.E.A.R the game would minimize and i would get an error screen telling me that the card is no longer responding to the drivers. after i close that box i can resume play. unfortunately that doesn't happen with most wanted as it just freezes the computer. I was wondering if it was cause i tried to upgrade my system drivers. Since i couldn't find drivers exclusively for the X800gto2 i just used X800gto drivers from the sapphire site (which is where the card is from). any help would be greatly appreciated.

So you installed ATI Catalyst 6.10?

If not, uninstall your current drivers and install this-
Catalyst v6.10
Windows XP drivers & software>Radeon>Catalyst 6.10 windows XP-Driver Download.

(assuming your running windows XP)

-Edit-
And while your at it, look for any F.E.A.R game updates that might be available...

That release should have support for all the x800 series cards. ::Edit:: I apologze, that link takes you to where you need to go, just click "Windows XP Drivers and Software -> "Radeon" -> "Catalyst 6.10 Windows XP - Driver Download"

DriverCleaner.net Driver Cleaner Professional Edition

This tool is great to use when updating drivers or installing a new card (in your case, getting rid of current drivers to start clean with a new driver install). Instructions should be on the linked page.

just to let you know the DFI baords havea terrible time running High FSB 1 to 1 with the cpu. if yourr overclocking and your mem is not on a divider this is generally why you get the error message.

My lanparty and expert both hated running at 2750mhz with the ram running at its stock 275mhz speed 1 to 1 but putting it on a divider at 180mhz fixed all the issues.

Thats because your RAM can't handle it...NOT THE BOARD!
(He is using a 2x1GB kit that can't run over 275FSB)

I had GSKILL PC4800 (DDR 600) running at well over 300FSB 1 to 1 and not a single glitch while gaming on my DFI LP

Jager - how dare you imply DFI makes flakey products that aren't as steady as the rock of Gibraltar. We all know our lord and master DFI is infallible, and even if it was, to state this - maybe even prove it would be blasphemy that'd cause the entire overclocking's collective e-penis to shrivel up and die and kill our entire hobby.

ROFL... I forgot you got a flakey board, some people have all the luck!

I have had 4 DFI LP boards that all ran like Jack the bear!
