How (Can?) I Salvage a 9800 NP Flashed (?) to 9800 Pro?

Have a Hercules 3D Prophet 9800 I picked up a while back on e-bay. When I finally got around to testing it (9 months to a year later) it had artifact issues out the ying-yang. The unit felt very hot so but an Artic on it to no avail. ThatÃ‚â€™s when I notice it was being recognized as a Pro. It seems to have been given a bad flash >> core stock = 325 shows 378 & mem stock = 290 shows 337.5.

Can this thing be saved or should I just take off the cooler and toss it?

I doubt it's a bad flash... but maybe the flash is too much for the card and the clocks are too high. Try using ATiTool to downclock it first. If downclocking the card doesn't fix it, flashing it back to the stock BIOS won't help either.

i agree... i would just flash it back to a stock bios!
