   |  Upgrading laptop graphics card to 7800gtx? OK, so I've seen 7800 GTXs specifically designed for my laptop (the Dell XPS Gen 2) on eBay for £250...http://search.ebay.co.uk/7800-go-gtx_W0QQfromZR40 ...installation is a bit of a pain but my question is...would it be worth the upgrade from my current 6800 Go Ultra (roughly equivalent to a desktop 6800GT)? It's gonna cost me about £250 I reckon.

 | I have a 7800gtx in my laptop. It nice,, but for just a jump like that,, i wouldnt upgrade yet. id wait for prices to go down

Yeah, I'll second that.  Moving from a 6800GT to the 7800GTX probably isn't worth it at this point anyway, esp. if you already have a 7800GTX.

| Double the pipelines, and better mem? I'd say it's worth it.

| I can now run Call Of Duty 2 at 1920x1200 with AF & 4xAA...so yeah, definitely worth it! Plus Dell are apparently ending stock of Go 7800GTXs, presumably to start buying 7900 Gos for the XPS Gen 3, so I think it was a good time to buy.
