Exclamation X800XT VIVO Problems???

Heya fellow PCA'ers,

Here the 411. Just last week I finished reinstalling windows after a pretty serious windows corruption due to OCing. So everything was hunky dory for a while and I had installed the TV out cable to watch Futurama episodes that I stream from my roommates server. Then one time a few days later I reboot after a windows update and the monitor displayed nothing but weird colors and patterns during the entire post phase... like my card was freaking out... but once windows booted up, everything displayed like normal.

Well, after some troubleshooting of my own... like removing the card, reinstalling it(physically), cleaning it, trying the DVI port, etc... I found that by removing the TV out cable the computer would properly display the post phase. So looks like there is something wrong with the VIVO.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Have you tried a different set of drivers? (older or newer)

Not sure if this is the same card I am thinking of, but does it have a small switch on the back of the card?

Oh awesome, I almost forgot about this thread. Thank you guys for replying.

Necro, I was running 5.13 cat drivers when I started this thread. The other day I updated to the cat 6.2 drivers and there is no change. If the VIVO dongle is plugged into the back of the card during the boot phase, I get a wierd color pattern. I suspect the problem isn't with the drivers, as the drivers aren't loaded during boot, correct?

Foe, there is no switch. Just a VGA port, DVI port, and the VIVO port.

I can take some video of the entire post phase if that might help...

I've had exactly this. It's just how the card works and I don't think there's a resolution.

I think I posted about it before.

I get what you're saying... and it's not really a big problem. If I unplug the dongle, everthings fine. I was curious becuase it never did it before, and just started doing it a few weeks ago.

I wouldn't give it much thought, I found it really odd and mucked about with it for ages at the time. Thing was I'd just not paid attention to my boot up for sometime ( I mean who restarts any more? ) so I put it down to it being normal and my just not having realised before.
