what are your thoughts on the 7900gt/gtx possibly outdoing the x1900xtx,
ive got a theory that things might go the way of cpu's core, you know, a 2.0ghz athlon being = to a 3.0ghz p4, kinda along that idea, be a little less reliant on clock speed, im probly wrong but just a thought, as for the 7600gt, maybe nvidia might score again with another mid-ragne hog and take the market like the 6600gt.

is anyone able to tell, from those pictures, whether a 7800's after-market cooler would also be able to be used on the 7900s?

ie: are the screw holes located in the same spot on the 7900 that they are on the 7800 so I could use the cooler on my 7800 on the new 7900?

from looking at my 7800gt, yah, the screw wholes look almsot exactly the same.

That's a huge relief!! I spent the money for two 7800 GTX Innovatek GPU Water Blocks and I didn't want to have to get different ones for the 7900 if I decided to get that instead of the 7800.

I know you're basing your info off of eyeing it, so I sure hope you're right!!!

If the 7900GT has 24 pipes, what will the GTX have? 32? All these pipes, and not enough ROP's or shader processors...they're gonna hit a wall soon.

actaully its the gtx that has 24 pipes, kinda dissapointing, but i guess we'll see, could be like x1800 series, not brining anything new to the table but a card faster than the previous ones.
