| 5-Hoe-1 Jeans | So I read in CPU today that with the latest NVidia Drivers you can mix and match different brands of cards for SLI. I checked NVidia's site and though they confirmed it, I still have questions and, well, you guys are always the fastest. What I'm wondering is if this applies to older generation hardware or if this is just a result of spiffy new drivers. I have a Lanparty UT nf4 SLI-DR and a BFG 6800GTOC (Nvidia's site says no problem that it comes overl****ed) both purchased around August or July 2005, so if I were to find a nice, say XFX 6800GT somewhere it would "SLI" just fine, regardless of how new or how old, right? And yeah, I realize that selling the 6800 and buying a 7800 would probably be a much better deal, but I tried that earlier, and I've been too lazy to try again. And, well, SLI still SEEMS cooler, maybe because I'm a sucker for a gimmick. |

From the things I have seen on the net that would seem to work. They are the same cards just one is overclocked. I guess the only thing you migh have to do is over clock the xfx card to match the BFG, that should be easy. Sounds like a good idea to me
