Default Clone to TV; no video?

I'm using a Radeon X700 currently and have the S-video going to my TV in clone mode so when people come over they can watch me play games without standing over my shoulder. Yesterday I tried to play a video and it shows up on my main monitor but it's just a black square on the TV. I tried it with WMP10, Real, and PowerDVD and none of them worked. Is there another program I should try using or I am stuck watching a video with 6 people over my shoulder? Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated, thanks in advance.

Give VLC a try.

You have to set the primary display as the TV when you want to watch movies on it. The only way I could get it to work.
