With a 256MB card, i'd set it to 256MB. I don't think you'll really see a performance difference, though.

Yes, leave fast writes on.

Definately turn fastwrites off unless you're using an AMD64-compatible processor (onboard memory controller seemingly being the difference here), however, if OC'ing, performance will almost always be better with it disabled (often can hang up ram when it usually doesn't/ cause more trouble than the extra 1-2K added to your 70-80 in AM3 score iw worth, and in many cases can actually take around 2k from your score when components are OC'ed and FW enabled). I heard from someone who'd said his x850XT (practically my card/ x800GT02) had come with a reccomendation to disable FW -similarly I notice more performance gain/ stability just OC'ing all my components and leaving it disabled, -the x800's all coming from the 9600's manufacturing process, -a card only reccomended to use with FW on AMD64 processor's anyway.. -However, I've found Fast Writes to be perfectly stable on all nVidia cards in personal testing and don't recall ever hearing about the need to disable them on nVidia cards, though I still would/ if -just to be safe when OC'ing.
